Pharmacovigilance Glossary Terms

MAH (MARKETING AUTHORIZATION HOLDER): refers to the individual, company, institution, organization or other legal entity in whose name the marketing authorization has been granted.

The marketing authorization may have been granted for a medicine in one, several or all European Union Member States.

The MAH is the responsible for all aspects of the product, including quality and compliance with the conditions of marketing authorization.
